 Keynote Speaker 

 In October 2022, Eve was recognized as one of Canada's Top 100 Black Women to Watch, affirming her trailblazing contributions as a young entrepreneur to Canadian economical eco-system. With a Bachelor of Justice Degree from Royal Roads University and ongoing pursuit of a Law Degree from the University of London UK, E is also a 2023 Queen Elizabeth II award recipient for her profound impact in Alberta. Eve is a JEADI Advocate and catalyst for positive change in our society.

 The Performers 

Zaire Ink: An emerging hip-hop artist with deep roots in spoken word poetry, Zaire Ink is known for vivid storytelling and exploring subjects such as existential angst and disenfranchised youth.

Priscille Bukasa: Spoken word artist and writer, member of the Cultural Instigator, supporting artists in fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion through impactful projects confronting social issues.

Wakefield Brewster:  Calgary Poet Laureate, 2022 – 2024 Poet Wakefield Brewster stepped onto his first stage as a Spoken Word Artist, January 1999. Now, renown as one of Canada’s most powerful Professional Performance Poets. Wakefield became the sixth Poet Laureate of Calgary in 2022, first Black Poet Laureate of Calgary, ever.

Afrohause:  Spreading Afro culture through dance. Classes, performances and more.

Perpie (Awele), blends classical and African contemporary art music with a touch of jazz, soul and storytelling.

Sholley Powell: Of Jamaican descent born and raised in Winnipeg, MB, Sholley’s poetry comes from a place of personal reflection, contemplation, and many sleepless nights.

Inducted into the poetry scene by way of Wakefield Brewster’s- Pitbull Poetry Series; Sholley embraced the Calgary poetry scene honing in on her literary talents.

Kamika Bianca Guerra-Walker: is a multidisciplinary artist from Calgary, blending roles as a visual artist, poet, model, actress, and community organizer. She excels as a film director, producer, and writer, with her films globally recognized for advocating empathy and social change regarding mental health, addiction, and homelessness.

Feji comes all the way from Nigeria and has been playing saxophone for the past 4years.
